Wait 24 hours after the membrane (i.e., Schluter®-KERDI-BAND and Schluter®-KERDI) installation is complete to allow for the final set of the mortar and to ensure waterproof performance of the assembly at seams and connections before water testing.
How long does it take for KERDI fix to set up?
Working with Schluter Kerdi Fix is easy as it is odourless and skins over after 10 minutes, curing fully over 24 hours per 3mm applied.
How long does it take for Schluter all set to dry?
I know, I said not to use modified thin-set to install tile over a membrane. Schluter has done a lot of testing in the lab and in the real world to develop a modified thin-set that cures completely in 12 hours when used to install tile over a membrane.
Is kerabond T modified or unmodified?
Kerabond is classified as the company’s premium unmodified thinset so it is well worth the investment.
What happens if you grout too soon?
Remember, there’s no harm in grouting your tile several days after you install it, but it is a bad idea to grout too soon. Applying grout too soon will stop the mortar curing process, leading tiles to pop loose from the floor or wall.
Can Kerdi be installed over drywall?
Yes. Once you install KERDI over the drywall panels, they will be completely protected from the water and vapor in your tiled shower.
Will Thinset stick to Kerdi fix?
Kerdi fix does not stick to thin-set FYI. So if you pre-treated the backs you just ruined the corner.

How do you mix kerabond T?
Use a low-speed mixing drill (at about 300 rpm), with an angled cross-blade mixer or double-box mixer. Mix thoroughly until mixture becomes a smooth, homogenous, lump-free paste. Avoid prolonged mixing.
Can I change the type of kerabond in my product?
Kerabond is not modified. We recommend you mix Kerabond with Keralastic premium latex additive for a much stronger bond.
